My condolences to her family, may he Rest In Peace...
·
It is with the heaviest heart I write this, my dad John Betts originally from Paddington
move to White city estate Wolff house, later to Northolt. passed away. After a long
battle at the age of 88.
The one that gave me blue blood. He started taking me to games when I was 8 and my
brother James started going with his mates. when I started work I repaid him buying us
our 1st season ticket.
I recently had someone come up to me, and tell me to thank my dad for everything he
had done for him as a kid. Apparently, my dad used to stand in the street on a Saturday
and shout out who’s coming to QPR then.
This guy used to run home to tell his mum he was going to Loftus Road with my dad and
brother and mates. Prior to the West Ham game, he hadn’t had his TV on, on Sunday he
asked me to put the game on. As we all say it’s never been easy being an R but today I
am so grateful I am. RIP Dad
