'MICHAEL Frey has completed a permanent transfer to Grasshopper Zurich,
joining for an undisclosed fee.

The move ends Frey’s two-year stay with QPR, following his arrival from
Royal Antwerp.

The 31-year-old striker made 53 appearances for the R’s in all competitions
in that time, scoring ten goals.

Grasshoppers compete in the top flight in Switzerland and are currently 11th
in the table.

CEO Christian Nourry said: “I want to thank Michi for everything he brought to QPR -
his tenacity, goals, fighting spirit and professionalism were all standout over his two
years with us.

“As a man, I have rarely met anyone so utterly obsessed with his craft, in the best
way.

I also want to thank his wonderful partner Melis for all she brought to the club.

“Both Michi and Melis regularly made visits in the community without being prompted
or asked, including providing gifts to local schools.

“Additionally, Melis made such an effort to bring all of our men’s first-team players’
wives/significant others together.

“Whilst both will be sorely missed, I am excited for Michi to go and be a pivotal part
of the project of such a historic Swiss club like Grasshopper Zurich.

“He will always be welcome back at QPR.”
