'JAYLAN Pearman’s early effort wasn’t enough to give QPR’s Development Squad
victory at Colchester United on Friday afternoon.

The midfielder struck inside eight minutes from Kaleb Dyke’s assist, but a second
goal crucially proved elusive.

Pearman himself had a chance to double the R’s lead soon after the half-time
interval, but could only fire over when well-placed inside the box.

Second-half substitute Rohan Vaughan also came close to settling matters, heading
just wide of the far post 13 minutes from time.

Rangers were made to pay moments later. A cross from the left was converted by
Makise Evans from close range to haul the hosts level.

Both sides searched for a late winner but had to settle for a point apiece.

The Dev Squad are on the road again next, travelling to Watford on Tuesday.
