Gareth Ainsworth good luck in your new role as Head Coach of QPR, I don’t envy
you with your task of trying to get a tune out of this group of misfits.

Your first job at Loftus Road though, is to remove the statue of Chris Ramsey
from the dugout.

Just had an email from another friend, a life-long WWFC fan.
This is what he says:

"Think most Wycombe fans are gutted he's left, surprised a bigger club didnt come
in for him before.
Got criticised for playing the long ball game...."Couldn't watch that every week" the
typical whinge from bigger clubs we'd beaten.
But with the money from new American owners & better players, we have started
to play a bit more football and even play out from the back occaisionally!

He would do whatever was necessary to get results and adjusted the way we played to stifle
the opposition; particularly because a lot of the opposition were better than us.
Seems to have a good eye for a player and getting the most out of them; cant remember
a time under Ainsworth when the team hasn't given 110%
But he brought in every player at WWFC, will be interesting to see how he copes with
the new dressing room.
Plus he's a decent bloke, doesn't constantly moan about refs; always positive and lives the
game on the touchline.

Hope it works out for him with QPR. He's a good manager, but don't expect him to turn
things around in a few weeks that's not his style. Needs time to build a team, but will he be
given that time?
Rumours arehe doesn't get on with Les Ferdinand* either, so may not be a match made in heaven."

Food for thought.....Especially the comment re. Les - off you go, Tommy! ;)

I think I have made my opinions very clear on here recently, regarding the way
our club has been operating for many years.

If it is the case that Ainsworth brought all the players in at Wycombe, then there
will be a clash immediately between Ainsworth and the DOF when we can recruit
players again.

This is something I thought would have been addressed, when the club and Ainsworth
were in discussions for the Head Coach role.

I hope Gareth Ainsworth stops Chris Ramsey sitting in the dugout on match days,
I fail to see what this man has to offer QPR. He was employed as a coach and then
promoted to manager, failed on both counts and then somehow unbelievably
reinstated as a coach. Only at QPR.

Regarding whether the DOF and Ainsworth get on, this will be very evident early on in
my opinion. Hoos and Ferdinand cannot afford to get this appointment wrong, if for
any reason it fails like their previous appointments this season that would surely signal
the end for them. I just hope Gareth Ainsworth is allowed to do his job, as well as given
the help and support to turn the club around.

I still believe Hoos and Ferdinand should depart the club, Ainsworth was brought in to
appease the fans and take the heat off of these individuals.

Neil Critchley and his assistants should not be the only people to depart QPR this week.

Good luck to Gareth. Yes steveqpr881 an all round decent bloke.
Good coach and player when previously at QPR FC. He did a wonderful managerial job at Wycombe.

If any manager deserves to have dame fortune smile upon him its certainly Gareth Ainsworth.
